Gray Soper grew up in Bluffton, SC with a mother who has now been in the catering business for 43 years. By the age of eight, he was already in the deli helping his mom cook and prepare for gigs. Fast forward to his teens/early twenties and Gray started working in other restaurants and eventually became the Executive Chef at Local Pie. Though he loved his back of house experience, he decided to shift gears and started working in the front of house with some of the best hospitality professionals in the business. Working for several years at Palmetto Bluff, St Regis, Alys Beach and Citizen in Alys; Gray's love for the culinary world continued to grow and was cultivated while working alongside fantastic Chefs.
Abby Soper is a Panama City, FL native with a much different background. Instead of growing up around a mom who was a caterer, her family has been in the funeral business for several generations. Abby's love for serving people began at a young age and continued throughout her professional career. Starting in the restaurant industry at the age of 15, Abby has worked for mom & pop shops all the way to the Four Seasons in Orlando. Landing in Alys Beach for the past few years, Gray Soper entered the picture!
Gray and Abby got engaged in April of 2022 and throughout the year working to pay off wedding expenses, catering became a part time gig. Taking care of several Alys Beach clients and enjoying working side by side, Grayze Provisions has now come to life.
